A Federal Commission said this about the Pentagon's latest round of base closings:
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Pentagon overestimated savings from base closings by $30 billion and some of its plans for streamlining the Army, Navy and Air Force might have made the services less efficient, a federal commission that reviewed the process said Friday.
I'm sorry, did we say it would make the military "more efficient"? We meant "less efficient" ... let me just correct that in my little notepad here ....
This is the same Donald Rumsfeld who ruined the careers of several military officers who thought we were going into Iraq without enough troops, publicly screaming "You just don't get it!" when they refused to play along.
Not only has he done all sorts of bad things, but he's not very good at his job. Let's see ... dishonesty ... ineptitude ... blustery hyperbole when confronted with proof of his wrongdoing ... That's it! He's the Basil Fawlty of American government. And Paul Wolfowitz is Manuel.
