the sea creature that dare not speak its name*
From the Daily Telegraph:
An exhibition celebrating the life of Charles Darwin has failed to find a corporate sponsor because American companies are anxious not to take sides in the heated debate between scientists and fundamentalist Christians over the theory of evolution.
The blackmailing of America into hiding from science is almost complete. All our children are being left behind because a few extremists are depriving them of the chance to study the wonders of nature. I'd like to find these cowardly corporations and list their names, but I don't know how to locate 'em.
Meanwhile atheist heart throb Michael Newdow ( a doctor and a lawyer -- find some nice Jewish sisters!) wants to take the phrase "in God we trust" off our money. I don't know about that -- with a federal debt like this, who else are we putting our faith in?
* Galapagos turtle (... says a commenter - but more politely - that's a tortoise, dumbass. My bad.)

I read somewhere a suggestion that all our major universities refuse to accept "science" courses on the transcript of any applicant from the Kansas public school system. Sounded pretty good to me.
Damn, we're dumb enough to begin with. And we're getting dumber by the minute.
