Great post, RJ. And good job (as usual) on TYT today.

As I say to everyone (GOP or Democrat) who wants to argue with me about Obama - If you liked the last 8 years, want more of the same, then I won't try to sway you. You have your way of seeing the world and I have mine and we aren't likely to agree. Debate would be useless.

If you find yourself saying, "no, I don't like these Bush years" then we still have nothing to argue about. You just need to get over whatever is bothering you and vote for Obama.

Vote Democratic or hide in the attic...

++++

Many, if not most, of Hillary's supporters were Rush Limbaugh dittoheads who "converted" to Democrat just so they could vote for Hillary and screw up the Democratic Party. They were never, ever, going to vote for a Democrat in the November elections, anyway.

I'm voting for McCain. I didn't like the last 8 years, but 20 year olds have told me that I should not have liked the prior 8 either. Apparently, having a budget surplus, 2 new liberal Supreme Court justices, the lowest level of black unemployment, the highest increase in black income, the passage of the Violence Against Women's Act, peace in Northern Ireland, passage of the Family Medical Leave Act, defense of affirmative action, 2 vetoes of the partial-birth ban act, and a host of other things were MORE OF THE SAME, WASHINGTON POLITICS, AND STUCK IN THE PAST. Thanks. We were all deluded into thinking something good was happening in society.

And Thomas - you can believe the "Rush Limbaugh dittohead" line if you want, but we know otherwise. I am a lifelong Democrat. I am not voting for Obama. It's fun to see strident anti-Clinton bloggers NOW trying a little detente -- but they know where they can put their detente....

A few other things. I am not against Obama because of his race. I am black! And I don't even have a white parent. So that's just a nonstarter. I am pro-feminist. I also love how people cite to the exit polls that show how many Clinton voters cited race as important, but never do that with Obama voters. The vast majority of voters who felt that race was important in Georgia, Mississippi, Virginia, Louisiana, Alabama, and other states that Obama took by a landslide, cast their votes for HIM, NOT CLINTON. Also, Gallup has examined the white voters who say they will not vote for Obama in the general, and most of them are women. Women are angry. Instead of bashing and questioning, maybe you should ask "why."
