I hear you. But I'm 64 years old, and I see all the people suffering NOW... It seems to me that the moral imperative to take care of our citizens and stop wasting money on Wall Street and blowing up brown people in mud huts on the other side of the world is simply overwhelming. We don't get to work with "someday" any more. That's all over.

No, I'm not rational at all on this subject. The energy and imperative I feel is entirely emotional and spiritual. I think America permanently dies if the issue of taking care of everyone isn't addressed immediately. I read your whole post, and you make sense, but I have to say my heart is already broken. This is such a bigger pivotal issue than almost anyone has realized or written about. It's the biggest challenge we face as a people, IMO, and it looks like we're about to fail.

I've bookmarked your blog and started following you on Twitter, so I'll be interested in your take on this evolving saga.
